This patient had had a tumour on the head for two years, growing slowly but progressively and deforming the temporal area of the head. The examinations, including a CT scan of the head, established a bone tumour involving not only the surface of the skull but also extending into the cranial cavity, thereby compressing the brain — as seen on the scan image. The tumour’s size and its specific topographic position — next to a vital organ like the brain — required its prompt surgical removal. The operation was performed successfully at City Veterinary Clinic and lasted 5 hours, during which the entire tumour mass was removed.
The recovery period was short and our patient is already feeling very well.
