The most painless and rapid method in modern veterinary medicine for measuring our pets’ intraocular pressure is the electronic tonometer.

Tonometry is performed as part of a routine eye examination and whenever glaucoma (raised intraocular pressure) is suspected.

The test is done without sedation or pain relief and consists in touching the tonometer to the animal’s eye for a few seconds.

Our clinic has a tonometer for the precise measurement of intraocular pressure. The examination is performed by our ophthalmology specialists, Dr Maria Kozareva and Dr Ana Malinova.
