This is Snezhko, a one-year-old red-eared slider. His owners had noticed a lump on his neck growing over the previous week or two and decided to bring him to us.
The examination established an abscess on the left side of the neck. The patient had to be sedated with inhalation anaesthesia, after which the abscess was incised and treated.
After the procedure Snezhko was discharged for home treatment with a follow-up examination scheduled in 3 days. At the follow-up there was no trace of the abscess.
